Due to the shortages in the supply of disposable masks and due to the substantial needs of masks we all need in the coming months, we have decided to offer you a lavable version.

To achieve this, we left the AFNOR tutorial and created a more comfortable and modular version.

This is therefore a “mask barrier” intended to complement the barrier gestures and the rules of physical distancing. It is intended for the public and especially for any healthy or asymptomatic person. The barrier mask does not exempt the user from the systematic application of barrier gestures, which are essential, as well as social distancing rules aimed at combating viral infections. This device is not intended to be used by caregivers in patient contact.FFP2 filter masks and medical (or surgical) masks are intended to be used and reserved for health workers.

What is this washable mask composed of?
New fabrics.Oeko-Tex S100 certified organic cotton, double thickness.A pocket allows you to slip a non-woven filter (sopalin, handkerchief) and increase protection according to your will.
An Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified polar thickness filter comes with the mask. The filter is to be inserted in the mask pocket.I designed this removable filter, so as to speed up the drying of the mask. This also allows you to adapt the filtration level to the desired breathability.
Elastics are also certified Oeko-Tex S100.
The elastics are wide for more comfort: they stay in place, plaque the mask on the face without exerting pressure. So no need to touch the face to replace it.
The metal clip avoids the buoy on the glasses and allows you to keep a good vision.
French craftsmanship.
Sizes: S (child), M (ado), L (adult).Same models, only size changes.

How to wash it?
You must wash it at reception and after each use at 60 degrees, or at 40 degrees in long program (1 hour and a half).

How many times can I wash it?
I was able to wash with my machine 20 times without any particular wear.Since the machines are all different, and I have no registration, I cannot commit to giving you a specific number. If you see traces of wear from different tissues, you should not use this mask anymore.

Official mask handling recommendations:

  • Before putting a mask, wash your hands with water and soap or a hydro-alcoholic solution.
  • apply the mask to cover the nose and mouth and make sure to adjust it to the best of its face;check the absence of air jet in the eyes during a strong expiration
  • avoid touch and move it
  • if you need to drink or eat, change the mask
  • when humidified, replace it with a new mask.

To remove the mask:

  • Remove it from behind (do not touch the face of the mask)
  • wash hands with water and soap or with a hydro-alcoholic solution.

The wear time of the mask is limited to 4 hours.

To be effective, a mask must cover the mouth, chin and nose. It should not be carried more than three/four hours, at the risk of becoming too wet and ineffective and must be in place and handled as much as possible. So we have to avoid at any cost touching it, at the risk of contaminating it or laying infectious postillons on our hands, which will then defile other surfaces.
No way to lift it or place it around its neck to smoke, phone or scratch the nose.
Make sure to wash your hands with soap or a hydro-alcoholic solution (frying for 30 seconds) before and after wearing it.
Handling only lateral elastics
and do not touch the face of the mask when wearing or removing it.If the mask is damaged (deformation, wear) throw it away.Otherwise, you must always go through the machine box.
It is possible to store the masks in a hermetic box or a closeable plastic bag in order to gather washing.
This mask contains the metal nose brush and does not pass through the microwave.Placing the mask to the freezer is not effective in killing the virus.
Disinfecting the mask with alcohol or bleach would damage the fibers of the fabric and degrade its filtration capacity. Not counting that bleaching vapours, even after several rinses, persist and riskirritate the skin, but also respiratory.
Remove machine wash at 60 °C for at least 30 minutes.
It is possible to use an iron or steam iron to maintain or remove any folds after washing, says the Afnor.Careful, however, not to damage the mask, including elastic flanges that could melt under the iron.In any event, this operation does not replace machine wash, necessary after each use.
