The mini-HNI will only begin to absorb after 5 wash/dry cycles and reach its maximum absorption after 10 cycles.
When you receive your mini-HNI, soak it one night in cold water, and wash-dry the mini-HNI 5 times before use. Otherwise, it will not be waterproof and will overflow.
Wash with a laundry suitable for washable layers to avoid waterproofing the absorbent zone. You will find an updated list on the Internet.
