Protect’Hop

Tips : the Protect'Hop is particularly appreciated when you practice the' Elimination Communication (HNI) and that it is not available, e.g. out. To propose to his baby or baby to eliminate, it will suffice to open the front part. I-I Elimination Communication (HNI) is also facilitated since the system remains hanging on to baby size, so no need to find where to put it. The Protect'Hop is used with the label visible behind for the little ones. For children who move, one can prefer to reverse, and therefore put the label in front.

How to dress baby : leggings are the most convenient and keep baby legs warm. No tights or material that "press" Protect'Hop. Just a pair of leggings, socks and slippers if necessary, and a t-shirt and/or sweater at the top for example for cool weather.

Note : Protect'hop is not waterproof, as plastic would be, it is just waterproof once lanolised. It is planned to hold a few pees (2-3) of newborn, then 1 pee when baby urine a larger amount. Protect'hop therefore does not have the amount of absorption of a washable layer. To increase its waterproofness, for example for nap, you can place another baby blanket above the first.

Composition maintenance :
protect'Hop is made of 100% boiled wool. Pressures are made of resin. Belts and belts baby blankets are 100% organic cotton certified Oeko-tex S100. For the belt: washing at 40° recommended, drying in the open air.
For baby blankets : 60° machine, open-air drying, no bleach, maximum absorption capacity reached after 10 wash/dry cycles.
Wash with a laundry suitable for washable layers to avoid waterproofing the absorbent zone. You will find an updated list on the Internet.

For the Protec'Hop, how to lanolise?
To maintain wool, and its impermeability, wool products must be soaked for 3-4 hours in: 1 lanoline bath cap or lanoline impregnation in 3-4 litres of water at room temperature. Then spin the item gently, and dry it flat. If you want to accelerate drying, roll the item in a sponge towel and spin gently. Once dry, wool fibres are then sheathed from the natural fat of sheep's wool and maintenance is easier since the fiber is protected by this sheathing: when Protect'Hop is wet or wet, no need to wash it every time. Just put it to dry in the open air, and shake it once the particles have become dust. After several uses, you can wash the Protect'Hop with a special wool wash, at 30° by hand or machine, drying in the open air, no bleach. As soon as you see that it loses again in waterproofness, you can redo a lanoline bath (on average every 2 or 3 weeks, depending on your use).
